Thunder Road in Barre
Spring in Vermont means one thing for race enthusiasts: Thunder Road! Located in Barre, about ten to fifteen minutes (depending on traffic) from Montpelier, Thunder Road is where race head for excitement. Races generally begin in May and then run through the summer to the end of September.
Stock car racing runs every weekend with four rosters:

- Allen Lumber Street Stock
- NAPA Tiger Sportsman
- Power Shift Junkyard Warrior
Drivers come from many areas in New England and Canada to show off their cars and racing skills. Tickets are affordable - often costing $20 or $40 for two adults and two children. Tickets are not available for purchase on the Thunder Road Web site, so get there early for best seating! You can go to any area Bond Auto Parts for tickets. In addition, you can purchase tickets at a few Bond Auto stores in New Hampshire and Northern Massachussets. Usually, the holiday races are the most crowded making it better to purchase tickets in advance.
